Aye! Karumba!

AYE, Karumba at sunset! Karumba Beach at sunset!

Well, now you have seen the wonderful side to Karumba (the sunsets are amazing over the Gulf of Carpentaria) so now I will tell you the not so good.....

we are stuck here! :(

Our van has something wrong with the gear box and is presently in the shop being looked at. In this small fishing community there is ONE machine shop and life goes at a snails pace, so, we have no idea how long it will take to get going again. We are safe-- staying in our tent at the van park tonight if the fix is not a minor one and has to be repaired over several days. the town has a nice pub on the water for sunset viewing, two van parks and several SMALL shops.... I am already ready to move on BUT the van may not allow this soon. We will see. If the repairs will take over two weeks we will come up with another plan (that may include abandoning the van to fly to Darwin, Alice Springs, etc.) We will see....

As Sheldon is so good to keep pointing out.... "it is all part of the adventure...." and he is right! More later and until then I would like to hear you all shouting "AYE KARUMBA!!!!!" Cheers.
